busHow to Ride UTA

There is a first time for everything, and if it's your first time riding the bus, check out this great information. Riding the bus is fun and easy!

Your Guide to Riding UTA is a tutorial for
first-time riders on how to ride buses and TRAX. There is also a Spanish-language version: Guía para tomar el UTA.

UTA buses and TRAX are 100% accessible for Riders with Disabilities. Our drivers will be happy to help you board and travel safely to your destination.

Although the Trax system does not currently have a route to West Valley City, plans are well underway. The anticipated completion date for the West Valley City Trax line is August 2010.

UTA 2 Go

UTA 2 Go is a new way to access UTA bus and TRAX schedules when you are out on the road. This easy-to-use, web-based application is optimized for Internet-enabled* handheld devices such as:

  • Cell phones
  • BlackBerrys
  • iPhones
  • Smartphones
  • Palms
  • Pocket PCs
  • Other PDAs

Simply point your device browser to www.uta2go.com and add it to your favorites. It’s as simple as that. No downloads, no manual updates—it is always up to date and accessible anywhere at any time. Looking up the latest bus or TRAX schedule on your handheld device is just a few clicks away.

*UTA 2 Go does not require any downloading of software or manual updating of schedules. It will work with any operating system. The only requirement is that your device be Internet-enabled and have a web browser. Most cell phone providers offer some form of Internet access, but depending on your service plan, there may be additional charges to access the Internet. Check with your service provider for plan details. For older Palm OS and Pocket PC devices without Internet capability, check out UTA on the Go, a downloadable application which does not require web access.

Please note: when a zero (0) appears in the schedule for a bus route, it means that the stop in question is not being serviced at that time of day, scroll up or down the schedule for times when that stop is being serviced.
